The haptotherapy professional branch is not yet listed as involved in caring for pelvic floor problems, although healthcare haptotherapists with a healthcare registration do collaborate with all relevant disciplines, such as: pelvic physiotherapy, psychiatry, sexology, psychotherapy, obstetrics and gynaecology. (…) In clinical practice, haptotherapy appears to be a valuable complementary therapy for people with pelvic floor issues. More clinical research is needed to scientifically corroborate the positive effect of haptotherapy in pelvic floor issues.
